Joy Alia

Joy Alia joined De la Rosa Law Firm in 2025 as an Associate Attorney. She is licensed to practice law in Texas and Illinois. Joy earned her Juris Doctor from Loyola University New Orleans College of Law in 2023.

While in law school, Joy was admitted to the limited practice of law pursuant to Rule XX of the Louisiana Supreme Court and served as a student practitioner in the Workplace Justice Clinic, where she worked on labor and employment law matters. She also gained valuable judicial experience as a judicial intern for the Honorable Dale N. Atkins of the Louisiana Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal, and as a judicial extern for the Honorable Kern A. Reese in the Civil District Court of New Orleans.

Joy was selected to join Loyola’s National Moot Court Team—the most competitive advocacy team at her law school and one of the most prestigious moot court competitions in the nation—where her team advanced to the quarterfinals. She served as both an oralist and brief writer. Additionally, she served as her law school’s President of the Black Law Students Association and was elected by her peers as Loyola’s graduation class speaker.
